Elevate your Sunday morning with Tune Your Ear to Nature and Live Music with Beginner’s Ear, an al fresco concert that tunes your ear to silence, nature, and music, leaving you feeling re-centered and inspired. Beginner’s Ear was created by Corinna da Fonseca-Wollheim, a longtime classical music critic (contributing to The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times), in order to help audiences hear more and feel better.
Join us at Teatown for our first in-person art opening reception after the long “pandemic pause”! On Sunday, July 18 from 3:00pm-5:00pm, we will celebrate “Where Have All The Flowers Gone,” botanical art featuring Corinne Lapin-Cohen and a variety of other talented artists.
An annual rite of summer, the North American Butterfly Count is a way for all butterfly enthusiasts to participate in a citizen scientist monitoring effort. Join Charlie Roberto to locate and count butterflies on the preserve.
Teatown is proud to take part in this year’s Westchester Pollinator Garden Tour, on Sunday, June 13. Teatown’s master gardener Diane Uhle will be on hand at Teatown from 1pm – 4pm to introduce visitors to the bountiful variety of flowers and plants in our gardens that are beneficial to local pollinators.

Lace-up your boots and join Director of Education Phyllis Bock in our women’s hiking club! All welcome, whether novice or experienced. Expand your horizons, learn more about nature, and bond with fellow female hikers. Each week we will hike a different Teatown trail and make plans for new territory to explore.
Discover the trail less traveled on a hike through Hidden Valley and up to the Overlook Trail. This moderately difficult trail offers diverse habitats including rocky cliffs, red maple swamp, old fields, and the remains of the hemlock grove.

The two-acre Wildflower Island, a refuge within the greater Teatown preserve, is home to roughly 280 species of wildflowers, trees, shrubs, ferns, grasses, sedges, and rushes. Join us on weekends May – June, as we explore this hidden jewel at our preserve in tours led by experienced guides.
Who lives in Teatown’s lakes? Where do insects make their homes? Explore the trails together with spring in full bloom as we solve some of nature’s intriguing animal mysteries. Be prepared for hiking and muddy adventures! For children ages 6 – 7 (child must be 6 by May 12).

Enjoy socially distanced outdoor time, learn about the bats that call Westchester home, and help build bat boxes that will be installed right here at Teatown nature preserve! This program is limited to 4 families.
