Teatown Trail System Overhaul Completed

On January 19, The Trail Tramps, a local volunteer group, finished the final bridge needed to complete the Teatown trail system overhaul that began in Fall 2014.

The 20 foot bridge connects a new section of the Hidden Valley Trail to the old section. In 2016, over 400 volunteers created 1.25 miles of new trail and closed 1 mile of trail to avoid areas with extreme erosion and poor drainage. A total of 11 new and replacement bridges and 2 boardwalks have been constructed to create more than 570 feet of crossings.
