Let’s get hands and minds to work in this STEAM inspired program! Each session will focus on building in nature in creative ways. Using imagination and natural materials as our guides, we will explore and build animal shelters, beaver dams, and whimsical fairy homes.

Learn how to read the clues wildlife leaves behind. Using tracks, chew marks, scat, and more, learn how to determine who was there, when they came through, what they ate, and are they healthy.
A diverse group of panelists will discuss their experiences in STEM, including obstacles and barriers they have faced in the environmental field. They will give advice to students on how they might pursue a similar path, sharing valuable lessons learned. The panel will be followed by two keynote speakers that will discuss actionable steps local leaders can take to develop opportunities for people of color as part of their diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts.
