Wildflower Island Guide Info Session
Sunday, March 24 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm
Do green and growing things fill your heart with joy? Are you curious about the natural world and eager to share that curiosity with the public? You might be a good fit for the Wildflower Island Guide program. Meet with Wildflower Island Curator Mathew McDowell to learn more. Mathew will share about the history of the Island, as well as review the training and commitment involved in joining the Wildflower Island team.
Wildflower Island Guides lead small group tours of this two-acre treasure. Our first guide meeting will take place in late April, and we’d love to add to our ranks. After the kickoff meeting, the Wildflower Island Guides meet monthly on Sunday mornings through September for additional training. Novice guides also work one-on-one with a mentor. Requires a commitment of at least 6 tours per season (April through September) or to work the equivalent hours on Wildflower Island.
