Virtual Book Discussion: The Book of Eels

The Book of Eels by Patrik Svensson explores the mysterious eel and those who have been obsessed with this creature throughout history. The international bestseller has people drawn to the unknown. “We need enigmas,” said Svensson. “We need questions that aren’t answered yet. Eels argue with our confidence that the world is explained.” As Svensson recalls his fishing trips with his father, he explores the scientific mystery of the eel. The book won awards in the author’s native Sweden and was just translated into English.
