Reading the Forested Landscape: Hike

Join Tom Wessels on an interpretive hike to learn about the history of the Teatown landscape. Limited spots are available; participants must be in good physical condition to hike the trail. This program requires registration separate from the preceding slideshow presentation (details under Reading the Forested Landscape: Slideshow). Tom Wessels is a terrestrial ecologist and professor emeritus at Antioch University New England where he founded the masters degree program in Conservation Biology.  He has conducted workshops on ecology and sustainability throughout the country for over three decades.  He is the author of numerous books including, Reading the Forested Landscape, The Myth of Progress, Forest Forensics, and his latest publication, Granite, Fire and Fog: The Natural and Cultural History of Acadia.

Refund Policy

No refunds will be issued within 2 weeks of a program unless cancelled by Teatown. If a program is cancelled, refunds will be issued in full within one week from the program date.
