Be part of the action and join the club! Like explorers of old we’ll use our wits and learn skills that make us wood-wise and nature aware. At our special camp in the woods we’ll practice primitive and survival skills.

Explore Cliffdale’s meadows to learn about plants, insects and birds getting ready for winter. Navigate the nearby forest and Native American site to learn a little about who lived here before colonization and how they used the Earth’s resources
Investigate Teatown’s replica Native American site and learn about the people who lived in the lower Hudson Valley when Henry Hudson discovered the North River. We will look at replica tools and discuss how the Lenape respected nature and were the original stewards of the habitats in the valley.

Come learn about turkeys! Turkeys are quite the bird and we will talk about their life history and habitat. We will wrap up our program by talking about some other birds and meet one of Teatown’s bird ambassadors.
