Before it’s time to take on the challenge of the school year join the Teatown educators in 3 days of exploring Teatown’s habitats. We will visit fields, forest and wetlands, trek the trails and search for animal signs and traces. Nets ready? Set and go!

As summer fades to fall brilliance comes to Teatown in different forms. Each Walkabout Wednesday will feature a hike led by Maggie Pichura, senior environmental educator, to discover the changing season and hidden life so often overlooked.
For Adults.
Shells, sea glass, feathers! What will you find as we walk on the beach? Join a Teatown educator at the RiverWalk Center in Kingsland Point Park in Sleepy Hollow to find natural objects on the shore, while learning about the treasure that is the Hudson River Estuary.
The youngest nature lovers use their senses to explore the natural world in these weekly classes featuring visits with Teatown’s animal ambassadors, crafts, stories and short hikes.

Be part of the action and join the club! Like explorers of old we’ll use our wits and learn skills that make us wood-wise and nature aware. At our special camp in the woods we’ll practice primitive and survival skills.

Kick off the weekend the natural way by hiking to some less frequently traveled spots on Teatown's property. Through scavenger hunts and challenges, we'll discover the various habitats Teatown has to offer and the animals within them. Bring sturdy shoes, water, and a snack to enjoy from some scenic vistas.
For Families.
How does the forest interact with water? Join a teatown educator on a short hike investigating where water flows in the forest and how the trees interact with it. Come observe and interact with models that explain how healthy forests are responsible for the clean water we drink.
For adults only.
Let’s get hands and minds to work in this STEAM inspired program! Each session will focus on building in nature in creative ways. Using imagination and natural materials as our guides, we will explore and build animal shelters, beaver dams, and whimsical fairy homes.
