Imagine if you could fly by flapping your arms up and down! Sounds simple but it’s not! Feathers are amazing in their diversity—size, color, and function. Meet one of Teatown’s feathered ambassadors and learn how feathers make a bird! For everyone.
Join Strawtown artists and Teatown educators as we look closely at this in-between time of year. We will explore nature outdoors, look for gold, silver, and other changes in color and texture of trees and plant skeletons. Then we’ll gather natural materials for art-making: twigs, leaves, seeds, nuts, and more. Indoors we will work with a variety of sculptural materials, like wire, strings, and metallic embellishments to create a seasonal work to take home! For ages 5+.
