Fifth Annual Teatown Hudson River EagleFest®
Raptors and Birds-of-Prey Photography Competition
In honor and memory of Ed Mertz

The 2025 Teatown Hudson River EagleFest® Raptors and Birds-of-Prey Photography Competition begins on Monday, January 13, 2025
All submissions must be received by Friday, January 31, 2025, at 11:59pm ET.
The winner will be announced on Monday, February 3, 2025, on Teatown’s website and on Teatown’s social media channels.
Participants must submit their work as a high-res .JPEG, .TIFF, or .PNG. The winning photograph will be featured on Teatown’s website (www.teatown.org) and social media. Prizes will be awarded for first, second, and third place winners.

Requirements:
Please send submissions of your best photos of raptors or birds-of-prey to Susie Erdey at serdey@teatown.org with the subject line “EagleFest 2025 Photography Competition Submission.” Only one (1) submission allowed per person. Winners from the 2024 EagleFest Photo Competition are not eligible to participate.

Please save your file using the LastName_FirstName format.
In the body of your email, please include:
1. Title of the photograph
2. Type of bird
3. Where it was taken
4. Any technical or interesting information about the photo (did you have to climb a tree to get the shot? We want to know!)

Terms and conditions:
1. Photographs will be accepted only from the original photographer.
2. Photographer must be the sole author and the owner of the copyright for any photo entered.
3. Photographers must have sufficient permission of any recognizable persons appearing in the photograph to be able to grant rights to display the photographic submission online or in printed materials.
4. Photographers retain ownership of all copyrights. However, by submitting an image for entry in this contest, you automatically give Teatown Lake Reservation permission and rights to store, display, and use the image, its thumbnails, and your name as the photographer, indefinitely in any non-commercial media without notification or compensation.

General:
By entering, entrants agree to be bound by these Contest Rules and Procedures, the Terms and Conditions on use of images, and the decisions of the sponsors and judges, which are final and binding on all matters. This Contest is void where prohibited and is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws.

Release:
By participating, entrants release Teatown Lake Reservation, their partners and sponsors, affiliates, subsidiaries and their agents, respective officers, directors, employees, agents from any and all liability or responsibility for any claim arising in connection with participation in the Contest or any prize awarded.

Consent:
By submitting your contest entry, you agree and accept the Contest Terms and Conditions, the General clause, and the Release clause.
