Reimagined Pancake Brunch 2021

We’re re-imagining our classic, family-friendly “Pancake Brunch” for 2021 with a new pandemic-safe twist!

We can’t flip pancakes or fry up bacon and sausages for you this year, but come to Teatown on Saturday, March 20 and enjoy walking the trails; spotting the “Birds of Spring” with Teatown’s beloved birding expert, Charlie Roberto; shopping for treats and Teatown items at our pop-up Teatown Nature Store; and picking up your pre-ordered “Maple Magic Bundle” (including pancake mix, maple syrup, maple candies, and other goodies) from our Teatown e-Store. We have some fun surprises in store, so keep an eye on this page and our social media channels for an up-to-date schedule of festivities. We look forward to seeing you here at Teatown, and we hope you enjoy our “sweetest time of the year.”

No pancakes will be served this year. We’re sorry for the inconvenience. 

Birds of Spring
Saturday, March 20 at Teatown
9am – 10:30am, 11am – 12:30pm

Get your eagle eyes ready to trek through Teatown’s forest with expert birder, Charlie Roberto!  We’ll be seeking out spring visitors, bluebirds, ringnecks, buffleheads, red-winged blackbirds and hopefully some fun, unique finds!

Members: $10/person
Non-members: $15/person

By registration only. No walk-ins.  Family-friendly program not suitable for children under 8 years old  (children must be accompanied by adult.) 12 people per time slot, masks required, must bring your own binoculars or viewing equipment. Dress for the weather as the program will be held entirely outside. Meeting point: Great Lawn at Teatown. No refunds. In case of inclement weather, the program will be rescheduled.  Must follow Teatown health protocol. A temperature check will be administered on the date of the program.

Nature Pop-Up Shop

Our “Nature Pop-Up Shop” will be open for visitors to purchase coffee, snacks, Teatown branded items, goodies, and more!

The Golden Feather

While you’re exploring the grounds here at Teatown during our Reimagined Pancake Brunch, make sure to keep an eye out for the “Golden Feather.” This elusive artifact will be hidden somewhere on our trails, and it’s up to you to find it! Take a picture of it and then email it to sfrasier@teatown.org. The first 3 people to submit their photos will win a bag of Teatown goodies. Good luck!

Maple Story Walk

While you’re visiting Teatown, be on the lookout for our Maple Story Walk! This fun and engaging addition to our Reimagined Pancake Brunch lineup will encourage visitors to enjoy a hike and learn about maple sugaring, including how syrup is made. So shake off the winter doldrums with this energizing outdoor activity and celebrate our “sweetest time of year”.

Our Sugaring Days programs are SOLD-OUT. Please be respectful to families/educators in Warren’s Sugarhouse during these times and do not walk in while they are in progress.
