EagleFest headquarters and all theaters will be located in heated tents at Westchester County’s Croton Point ParkFree parking and shuttle buses from outlying lots.  Ticket holders for all shows should allow up to 30 minutes for parking and shuttle rides. Program details:

Bill Streeter - “Close Encounters with Birds of Prey” - an informative, exciting presentation featuring live eagles, owls and hawks.

Arm of the Sea Theatre – "The City that Drinks the Mountain Sky" A performance of giant puppets and music telling the story of the formation of the New York City aqueduct system, and the on-going story of the watershed, it’s beauty, vulnerability and necessity for ecological health in the Hudson Hills and Highlands.  See sample video – click here. 

James Eyring – Flight of the Raptor – a thrilling show featuring live birds of prey – weather permitting part of this show will be outdoors.

Eagle Exploration Bus Tour - SOLD OUT
Call 914-762-2912 ext. 110 to reserve seats.  All tours are $15/person – for adults and children 12 years of age and older.

Travel by charter bus with an environmental educator to sites along the Hudson River for an in-depth tour of eagles in the region!

Begin the tour at Croton Point Park, visiting three eagle-viewing sites along the river to view eagles in their natural habitat. Reserve your spot in the 36-seat charter bus. Approximate length of the tour is 2 hours.

Tour times:  9:30 am – 11:30 am
                    2:00 pm – 4:00 pm

More details:

  • While supplies last, participants of EagleFest 2009 will receive a free Hudson Hills and Highlands Eagle Viewing Map, depicting eagle viewing locations along the Hudson River. Advance copies are available at Teatown’s Nature Center. 
  • The alternate date in event of severe weather is Sunday February 8 – monitor this website if questionable.
  • All proceeds help underwrite the cost of the Hudson River EagleFest 2009.
